EMU: Annual CPI accelerates to 0.7% in April, as expected

FXStreet (Łódź) - According to data released today by Eurostat, Eurozone annual inflation picked up to 0.7% in April, from 0.5% growth registered the previous month. This result is in line with analysts' forecasts. On a monthly basis CPI decreased to 0.2%, after rising 0.9%, as expected.

Year-over-year CPI-Core grew 1% in April, up from 0.7% in March and above forecasts of +0.7%.

EUR/USD steady despite EZ GDP miss

The EUR/USD remained little changed near daily lows after the latest string of Eurozone data showed Q1 GDP came in below expectations, while April CPI met forecast.
