QE to last till a sustained adjustment in inflation path – ECB monthly bulletin

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The monthly bulletin released by the European Central Bank largely reiterated the message delivered by the bank’s policy statement with regards to the duration of its QE program and the inflationary pressures.

The bulletin says the QE program would continue till the inflationary pressures show sustained adjustment towards the central bank’s target. Meanwhile, the bulletin acknowledged that the likelihood of the inflation remaining too low for a prolonged period has increased. It also states that the bank intends to carry out asset purchases until Sept 2016.
